  • Commissioned Jamie Whitmarsh to compose a Percussion Quartet for the UAFS Percussion Ensemble (Premiere, Spring 2016)

  • I am truly honored to have joined SABIAN as a Band and Orchestral Artist Endorser

 

  • My article, Addressing Your Percussionists' Needs: On and Off the Podium, was published in the PAS Educators' Companion

  • Premiered Luis Rivera's Amalgamation for solo snare drum at the UAFS Faculty Music Showcase Concert (September 15th)

    • I commissioned this work from Luis in Fall of 2014 as part of a Solo Commission Recital Project. 

 

  • Studio Recorded Amalgamation for solo snare drum at Okalhoma City University with the help of Jamie Whitmarsh, chief audio engineer, and Lisa Kauchouee, videographer and photographer.

 

  • Commissioned Michael Taylor to compose a work for Multi-percussion to be premiered at the Spring 2016 UAFS Faculty Music Showcase 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Summer 2015

 

June

  • Guest Speaker/Presenter at the UAFS Summer Jazz Band Camp as part of the Shane Bailey Memorial Foundation 

 

  • I composed a work for the UAFS Summer Jazz Band Percussion Group

 

July 17th-31st

  • John Psathas Recording Project at Furman University (Greenville, South Carolina)

Spring 2015 

 

January 10th, 2015

  • Duo Breedlove performed at the Navy Band Saxophone Symposium.

    • The program included: a World Premiere for saxophone and marimba, entitled Scamps by William Funk, as well as movements from The Songbook by David Maslanka. 

 

March 16th, 2015

  • I  performed a Chamber Recital at The Blue Lion at 7:30pm.

    • This recital featured several UAFS faculty members as well as one of my students, Matthew Oliver.

    • The program included works by David Maslanka, Jamie Whitmarsh, William Funk, Ivan Trevino, and Kevork Andonian. 

 

April 15th, 2015

  • I performed a Solo Recital in the Breedlove Auditorium at 7:30pm.

    • This recitall featured works by Gordon Stout, J.S. Bach, Steve Reich, Thierry de Mey, Luis Rivera (World Premiere), Javier Alvarez and Ivan Trevino. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

April 27th-29th, 2015

  • Adam Blackstock, from Troy University, will be joining us on the UAFS Percussion Ensemble Concert.

  • Presented a Timpani Fundamentals Clinic at The Arkansas Day of Percussion

  • I became Treasurer for the Arkansas Chapter of PAS (Percussive Arts Society)
